Parent Teacher Conference 2010

Yesterday was Lidya's Kindergarten parent teacher conference. She is doing great! Her teacher said "she's a pleasure to have in the class and is in the top 5 in her class of 25". I knew she was doing well cause she's such a smarty pants put it's really nice to hear the teacher confirm it. The one area that could use a little work is her social butterflyism (in other words her need to talk to everyone, about everything) I know this. She likes to talk. She will strike up a conversation with anyone any where. And it's actually a pretty interesting/entertaining conversation. Her teacher said it's a great thing to have fabulous social skills, it will serve her well in life......but she would be the top student if she would talk a little less. Whatever, who wants to be the top student if you can't talk to your friends.
I did talk to her about focusing when it's time to work and she told me she would try and then she told me a fabulous story about being on a ship sailing with dolphins :-) in a daydream that is.
